Welcome -to my love affair with classic cameras. This first edition of my website will be expanded and updated on a day to day basis. Please bookmark, and drop by from time to time. This website is dedicated to my ongoing love affair with classic cameras, my German ladies, and to the art of analogue photography in general. The content will of course be based on my own personal collection, and based entirely on my own personal experiences and personal opinions however controversial they may seem. I regularely use all the cameras in my collection, and all of them are fully functional. It should be no secret, that I have very strong opinions, and that I also express these freely in the content of this website. This is a non-commercial website, and the links and bannerads on this site are being posted at N/C and for free.. Let me be quite honest from the beginning, and admit that I am not a technical "nerd". The technical in-depth details and data are not very significant to me. It's more about feeling. The main emphasis are on German classic cameras and equipment from the early 30's to the late 60's. This is where my heart is. However for several reasons some japanese have, and will, find their way into my collection. First of all because many German companies got tempted, and had quite a lot of cameras manufactured in Japan. Secondly there are some japanese cameras that deserves to take their place in my collection, especially when we're talking about compact 35mm cameras. If you navigate to "The Collection" the complete index will appear on the left side menu. Soon You will also be able to visit my "other ladies", the Asian Geisha's, on a separate section of my website. Of course I have been tempted by these alluring Asian beauties, and I also wish to share this "fetish" with all of you out there. This section of my website includes some very modern cameras, and to me it is important that You know that when I praise and prefer f.e. a 1928 Leica or a 1960's Voigtländer is IS in fact because I actually buy, use an evaluate modern equipment also. But often it turns out, that the totally manual oldtimers are right up there on the list when you're talking performance and end-results. It is my sincere hope, that this website will be both an inspiration and a guide for especially newcomers to the world of analogue photography. I have myself often benefited greatly from various photographic websites, and it is my hope that my website will be just as useful and inspiring for those who wants to enter the wonderful world of classic analogue photography. There are a few people that deserves a special thanks, and without whom this page might never have been made. First of all I dedicate this page to my mentor Fritz Melgaard, a mediocre photographer with a big warm heart and a man that cared for newcomers like myself. May he rest in peace. Secondly my very dear friend Joergen Lybaeck who is like a father to me when it comes to classic cameras and invaluable advice and inspiration. Warning !: Passion is extremely contagious !!
